Now in its ninth vintage, the 2021 Bella Union Napa Valley Cabernet is a beautiful union of Cabernet Sauvignon from exceptional vineyard blocks across the Napa Valley. It possesses beautiful and intriguing aromas of dark plum, black cherry, hints of clove, and barrel spice. The palate is well-structured with velvety tannins complemented by generous layers of fruit flavors of blackberry, fig, and raspberry preserves that give way to a melting finish. Tension is exhibited on the palate as this wine is both fruit forward and restrained, with luscious aromas of cherry cola, anise, and baking spices leading to black cherry, blueberry, and briary fruit flavors with hints of cocoa and resolved tannins.
