The nose erupts with crushed basalt minerality, Meyer lemon zest, and wild fennel - a direct expression of Etna's terraced vineyards. The palate delivers a thrilling tension between richness and acidity, offering flavors of yellow apple, almond skin, and a distinct saline edge that Wine Advocate awarded 93 points for its terroir transparency. Fermented in stainless steel with 10% aged in acacia barrels, it finishes with a lingering smoke note. At 13% alcohol, this 2021 vintage pairs sublimely with grilled swordfish or pasta alle vongole.
